Terms of Use
These Terms of Use ("Terms") form a legal agreement between you and Betterbase Studio, LLC ("Betterbase Studio," "we," "us," or "our") governing your use of the No Nut application and related services on Android.
1. Acceptance of these Terms
By downloading, installing, accessing, purchasing through, or using No Nut, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use No Nut.
2. Eligibility
No Nut is intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into this agreement to use No Nut.
3. Not medical advice
No Nut is a self-help tool for building better habits. It does not diagnose, treat, or cure any condition and does not provide medical, psychological, or other professional advice. Content in the app, including plans, challenges, recovery estimates, and messages from mentors, is for general informational and motivational purposes only. Recovery progress and other estimates shown in the app are illustrative and are not clinical measurements. If you are struggling or may be in danger, contact a qualified professional or local emergency services.
4. License to use No Nut
Subject to these Terms, Betterbase Studio grants you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and non-sublicensable license to install and use No Nut on compatible Android devices that you own or control, solely for lawful personal purposes.
You may not:
- copy, sell, rent, sublicense, distribute, or commercially exploit the app itself;
- reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, bypass, or attempt to extract source code, except where applicable law expressly permits it;
- circumvent premium access controls, usage limits, or security mechanisms;
- interfere with the app, backend, or another user's access; or
- use No Nut in a way that violates law or another person's rights.
5. Your content
You retain the rights you hold in the notes, reports, motivations, messages, and other content you create or submit through No Nut ("User Content"). You are responsible for User Content. You grant Betterbase Studio and its service providers a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, transmit, reproduce, and process User Content only as reasonably necessary to provide requested features, including backup, restore, support, security, and service maintenance. This license ends when the relevant content is deleted from our systems, subject to reasonable backup, security, legal, and technical retention.
6. Support, mentors, and community
Feedback and Private Support let you send messages to our team and mentors. Mentors share personal experience and encouragement; they are not licensed healthcare providers. Replies are not guaranteed within a specific time. You must not send messages that are unlawful, threatening, harassing, or abusive. The No Nut Community is hosted on Telegram, a third-party service governed by its own terms.
7. Backup, restore, and App Lock
Backup and restore require an Internet connection. The backup QR code identifies your backup; anyone who has it may be able to restore your data, so keep it private. We are not responsible for data loss caused by deleting the app, clearing app data, losing your QR code, or restoring a backup over existing data. App Lock relies on the biometric and screen-lock features of your Android device.
8. Coins, XP, and badges
Coins, XP, levels, and badges are earned in the app to track progress and unlock in-app features such as the relapse penalty. They have no cash value, cannot be purchased, sold, or transferred, and cannot be exchanged for money or anything outside the app.
9. Free and premium features
No Nut offers free features and auto-renewing No Nut Premium subscriptions. The available plans, billing period, price, currency, trial or introductory terms, and included features are shown before you confirm a purchase. Features and limits may vary by plan, region, app version, or promotional offer.
10. Google Play purchases and subscriptions
- Purchases are processed by Google Play and are also subject to the terms and payment policies associated with your Google Play account.
- Auto-renewing subscriptions continue and are charged through Google Play unless canceled before renewal. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Google Play subscriptions settings. Deleting No Nut does not cancel a subscription.
- A subscription remains available through the end of the paid billing period after cancellation unless Google Play states otherwise.
- Refund requests are handled according to Google Play policies and applicable law. We cannot issue or guarantee refunds that Google Play controls.
- Restore Purchases attempts to verify eligible purchases associated with your Google Play account. Restoration can require an Internet connection.
11. Updates and compatibility
We may update No Nut to add, change, or remove features; fix errors; improve security; or maintain compatibility. Continued use may require installing an update. We do not promise support for every device, Android version, launcher, or widget host. Notifications and widgets depend on Android settings and may behave differently across devices.
12. Third-party services
No Nut relies on services such as Google Play, Firebase, Mixpanel, OneSignal, RevenueCat, hosting and backend providers, Telegram, and apps you choose for sharing. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Betterbase Studio is not responsible for third-party services or content outside our control.
13. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy describes how information is handled when you use No Nut and is incorporated into these Terms.
14. Ownership
No Nut, including its software, design, branding, content, documentation, and all related intellectual-property rights other than User Content, belongs to Betterbase Studio or its licensors. These Terms do not transfer ownership or grant rights to use our trademarks, logos, or branding except as necessary to use the app normally.
15. Suspension and termination
You may stop using No Nut at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the app or related online services if you materially violate these Terms, create a security or legal risk, misuse the service, or if continued service is no longer reasonably practicable. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, including ownership, payment obligations, disclaimers, and liability limitations, will survive.
16. Disclaimers
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NO NUT IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." BETTERBASE STUDIO DISCLAIMS IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND QUIET ENJOYMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, THAT BACKUPS WILL ALWAYS BE AVAILABLE, OR THAT USING THE APP WILL PRODUCE ANY PARTICULAR RESULT.
17. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BETTERBASE STUDIO AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES ARISING FROM NO NUT.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF NO NUT WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR NO NUT DURING THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM OR USD 50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
18. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Courts located in Delaware will have jurisdiction over disputes that are not required to be resolved elsewhere by applicable law. This section does not deprive you of mandatory consumer protections or rights available in your country or region.
19. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to No Nut, our services, or legal requirements. We will post the revised Terms at this URL and update the effective date. If a material change requires additional notice or consent, we will provide it as required by law. Continued use after the revised Terms take effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
20. General terms
If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign them in connection with a reorganization, merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Betterbase Studio regarding No Nut.
